@ 8/21/2019 || 0 miles - yes, hi, hello. I am re-commiting to writing a thorough recap of each day from this day forward. I stopped doing this early on, but am constantly being reminded by current&past thru-hikers of the value behind logging memories both exciting&mundane. on this fine thursday morning I woke up in fear that I had slept through my podiatrist appointment. alas, I had not. I got dressed, ate a muffin and some cereal at the Super 8's not so super continental breakfast. I left around 7:33AM and was welcomed into New Hampshire where the transit system is fine and doesn't take up all of your time. (it's free, too! shout-out to well designed public transit systems!) took the yellow bus to the red bus to the green bus to the special bus. no kidding, the special bus. I mistakingly asked the bus to drop me off in the wrong area so I had to walk 1.5mi to my appointment. left with new custom orthodics and some anti-inflammatories - this will hopefully do the trick until Katahdin. popped on over to the Price-Chopper to do a five day resupply and then bussed it back to the Super 8 where I talked to Toucan for a bit before hopping back onto the bus to get to Hanover. I chatted with Go Forth for a bit at CVS and then his wife March Fourth at the Post Office. as I was meandering around town I found Pop Rocks & Sloppy Joe and convinced them to hang in town one extra day. the three of us walked over to Starbucks to chill and ran into Audible, Frenchie and Sherpa as we walked in. I LOVE being in the bubble. I know people have mixed feelings about this, but being surrounded by friends is the best to me. we all jumped back on the bus to the Super 8 where we watched the office for a bit, walked to a Chinese buffet for dinner and hung out before falling asleep. planning on starting early tomorrow for a big day. woo!
