@ I want to pay tribute to great pizza. The one thing I miss most about New England is the pizza. We all have our local shops and I miss Belmont Pizza. Every time I go back to visit my family, I have to get this. I miss the big slices, the flavorful sauce, the beautiful texture of the crust. There are a few of these type of spots, these pizzas can feed the whole family, and they are why New England remains a “House of Pizza” zone versus the big box cardboard pizza cartel. •
I’ve voiced my displeasure with the DC pizza scene and let me explain what disappoints me. Most of it stems from the gourmetification of everything. The ingredients are the same but the pizza is smaller and it costs more. I’m also sick of all of the undercooked Neapolitan style cheese luges permeating from DC pizza shops. Enough is enough. I could go in circles on this but I’ll stop there.
