Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, 2018
This is our “Sunday Sauvignon Blanc”! It’s another snowy Sunday here, so there’s a 99% chance of wine today. This fresh, zesty and crisp wine is a refreshing choice, bursting with citrus flavour and acidity. 🍋
About the wine 🍷 :
➤ Winemaker Anthony Walkenhorst’s philosophy is to be the “guardian of flavour”, creating vibrant and authentic wines true to their varietal and terroir. This New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is certainly a great representation of the infamous region’s flagship wine!
➤ The long sunny days and extended growing season in the Wairau Valley of Marlborough, New Zealand create an intensely flavoured wine, with cool nights and sea breezes maintaining the wines acidity. New Zealand was late to the winemaking game, becoming internationally renowned in the 1970’s. 🇳🇿
➤ 13.5% alcohol, 4g/L of sugar
➤ Pale straw yellow appearance with pronounced classic aromas of citrus, tropical fruit and herbs. A vibrant taste with flavours of lemon, passion fruit, gooseberries, minerals and grass. A dry, medium bodied white with high acidity and a long finish, bursting on the palate. This tangy wine is worth the hype, it’s mouthwateringly good!
➤$19.95 CAD in Ontario ✅
➤ Pairs well with goat cheese, spinach dip, or my personal favourite mussels in a white wine sauce. Use some of your Sauvignon Blanc to cook with while you drink! 🍴
What’s your Sunday favourite? Red, white, rosé?
